Sheep watch us pass by.Flats along the Indianhead Pass Trail.I think these are wolverine tracks near the summit.The upper Clearwater River valley is a remote and wild landscape.Chirp (L), Bellow, Howl, Smoky, Snarl, Whimper, South Tower, Crown, Harris, Malloch and Mamen (R).Mamen Peak is over 10,500 feet high.Phil and I made a likely first ascent of Bellow Peak at left in 2020. Howl and Smoky to the right.Views to Bellow, Howl and Smoky (R).Descending a south ridge / gully back to the Indianhead Pass Trail.Hiking up the Indianhead Pass Trail through a burn area.As we start up the west slopes of Sentry we get these views up the Clearwater River valley.Phil ascends easy west slopes of Sentry Peak. Malloch and Caterpillar Peak in the bg.Descending a south ridge / gully back to the Indianhead Pass Trail.Incredible views down the Clearwater River to the eastern edge of the Rockies.Wampum, Indian Lookout, Lost Guide, Scalp, Forbidden and Mount Peters over the Clearwater River.Phil is tiny on the lookout with the upper Clearwater valley stretched out below.Sentry Peak rises over Indianhead Creek.Mount Malloch.Lost Guide, Scalp, and Forbidden Peak rise over the Clearwater River.Views down the Clearwater River past Lost Guide and Mount Peters.
