There is a good trail beaten into the scree. The only scrambling section other than the approach headwall is just above Jon here.Mount Nivelle and the Castelnau Glacier are barely visible through the smoky haze. Other peaks around Nivelle include, McCuaig, De Gaulle, Castelnau and Ney.Upper Kananaskis Lake in the foreground with Lower Kananaskis Lake beyond from the summit.The down climbs aren't an issue if you're used to scrambling and have dry conditions like we did.Mount Joffre looms over Marlborough.
