The trail is more of a road from just past the "CC4" meadow to the Forbidden Creek crossing.Initials in a cut tree.An old cabin along the Clearwater Trail.Breakfast time! We're 2 hrs and around 18km into our day at this point.Crossing the Clearwater River.The eastern Banff boundary along the Clearwater Trail.Distant views of South Tower, Crown, Willingdon and Mount Harris.The amazing Harrison Flats meadows under Forbidden (L) and Lost Guide Peak (R).Forty Mile Cabin.Phil bikes the last bit of our ride over the SE shoulder of Lost Guide.The trail is not all easy cruising.OHV's can't go further than this - this trail accommodates them ("CC3").There are side trails.This old sign was near the cairn - not legible.An interesting cairn along the trail. Is this an old boundary? Grave site?Biking through an abandoned outfitter camp.Forbidden (L), Peters (C) and Lost Guide (R) from the open SE shoulder.Continuing up the Clearwater Trail.The first of only two bridged crossings is over a lovely clear Cutoff Creek.Most forks in the trail either lead to nearby camps or are simply small deviations.
